Your love.

Like the constant flow of the sea,
The surety of it being there,
Never-ending and timeless,
It flows over me and covers me.

The heat of everyday life fires me up,
Just to be cooled down and calmed
By the one thing that conquers all,
The rarity of such beauty is well known,
The search for some is a lifetime’s quest.
But for me…it seems it has found me once more
And caught me off guard like a thief in the night.
Yet, it didn’t steal; it didn’t take, but gave grace and love,
Offered tenderness yearned for.

I am wrapped up and exposed at the same time
Protected and pushed in the most sensitive way
The comfort… casual and yet as intense as fire.
It burns and soothes at the same time, leaving a
Noticeable scar and nurses it

It makes us doubt, it makes us ask
It makes us vulnerable, it makes us small
It makes us wonder it makes us feel
It makes us strong, it makes us solid
It gives foundation and meaning
It makes us fall and catches us
It makes us aware and makes us dream
It makes us bold, it give you power
It rolls you over and is as delicate as a flower

this is the love I thank you for
for it is like water to my thirsty soul
and lights my way of the unknown future
and gives me strength for all that I have to endure.
